However, due to later common misunderstandings, it is performed nowadays mainly on\u00a0All Saints Day<\/a>, but, in that case is not called Zaduszki – the word\u00a0Zaduszki<\/em>\u00a0originates from\u00a0dzie\u0144 zaduszny<\/em>\u00a0which can be translated as\u00a0the day of the prayer for souls<\/em>, and thus is more closely related to All Souls‘ Day.<\/p>\n The first day of November is a holiday in Poland.
